Animal-loving couple ready to care for your pets & home

Hi! We are Daria and Mike, a Ukrainian-Dutch couple who recently decided to settle in the Netherlands after four years of travelling around the world. Animals have always been a big part of our lives. I grew up in Ukraine always having dogs and cats around me, and Mike grew up with dogs too. Even now, if I see a cat on the street, it is almost impossible for me to just walk past without stopping to say hello and give it some attention. :) And somehow dogs seem to notice us too — very often when we pass one, it comes over to sniff us and get some cuddles. We also love hiking and have done many hikes in the mountains during our travels. Somehow there always seems to be a local dog who decides to join us for part of the adventure! I even got into the habit of carrying a little extra food in my backpack just in case we meet a fluffy friend along the way. We have spent around four years travelling and have visited about 30 countries. Now we have decided to settle in the Netherlands and start a more regular life here. While we are looking for our own long-term home, we are currently staying with friends and taking care of their homes and animals, so house sitting feels like a very natural fit for us. We are tidy, responsible and respectful of other people's spaces. We are happy to care for your pets according to their normal routine, take dogs for walks, give your animals plenty of attention, water plants, collect mail and, of course, keep your home clean and well cared for. I also have an Airbnb profile with many reviews from hosts from our years of travelling, which I would be happy to share with you. It can give you some extra reassurance about how we treat the homes we stay in. We are currently flexible with locations around the Netherlands and would also be happy to meet beforehand whenever possible.
